Adopt-A-Wish
Remember the stories from our childhood fairy tales where magical genies could make wishes come true? Through our Adopt-A-Wish® Program, the power to grant a wish no longer exists only in fairy tales. You too can experience the satisfaction of making a dream come true by granting the wish of a special child with a life-threatening medical condition. Every wish is a unique and memorable experience for the wish child, the wish family and all those who participate in the wish. Many contributors say they began their support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and its endearing mission after hearing a child’s memorable wish story. You have the opportunity to create more of these heartwarming stories. This giving option allows you to fund a single wish experience in its entirety while bringing joy to the life of a courageous child.
Adopt-A-Wish is a two-tier fundraising program where major donors are paired with wish children. The tiers consist of the Wishmaker® ($6,000) and the Wish Partner ($3,000).
As a Wishmaker, you have exclusive sponsorship of a wish for a child battling a life-threatening medical condition. Wishmaker is the premier donor level in the Adopt-A-Wish program and has a minimum cash donation of $6,000. With this gift, individuals, companies, schools, or organizations can "adopt" a wish and underwrite the average funding it takes to make the wish come true - thus becoming the sole provider of a child's wish.
As a Wish Partner, you have shared sponsorship of a wish. The minimum cash donation required for this level is $3,000 and is the minimum donor level for the Adopt-A-Wish program. you can partner or be paired with another Wish Partner to adopt the entire wish. A wish is assigned only when the cumulative donation has reached $6,000.
In return for your generous support and upon completion of the wish, you are presented with details about the child's wish, a photo of the child (if possible), and special recognition in our newsletter and on our web site. Most important is the reward of knowing you have provided a child with a life-threatening medical condition the magic of a wish come true.
