Derek's Make a Wish Trip to the Pro Bowl in Honolulu, HI was an awesome experience!

Some of the highlights of our trip included attending a luau, the meet and greet sessions with the NFL players, attending the football practices and of course, attending the Pro Bowl game. Derek's most memorable moment was getting to meet his favorite player, John Lynch of the Denver Broncos. He autographed Derek's jersey and football, visited with him and gave him a pair of NFL wristbands. What could make a 12 year old boy happier than meeting his football hero!

After many months of chemotherapy treatments and doctor visits it was wonderful to get away from our routine and enjoy some "family time". The Make a Wish Foundation and NFL had everything organized for us so all we had to do was pack our suitcases and show up for the activities! From start to finish this was a wonderful experience and we owe a huge thanks to the Make a Wish volunteers and staff who worked so hard to make this trip happen.

A thank you is also due to Alliance Pipeline who "adopted" Derek's wish and made a large contribution towards funding Derek's wish. This trip meant so much to Derek that he participated in the "Walk for Wishes" in March and was able to donate a check for almost $1,000 towards making another child's wish come true.
