Josh attended the Mandan Rodeo thinking only that he was the special guest of Make-A-Wish® and the Rodeo Association. Little did he know that he would be presented with his very own horse! Outfitted in the proper rodeo attire, this 9-year-old cowboy enjoyed the day watching the events with his family and friends. The Mandan Rodeo Commission coordinated the moment when Josh was introduced to his new friend, “Wish,” the quarter horse he had dreamed of. The rodeo audience witnessed the event of Josh riding out into the arena with a clown to be surprised with his new horse.

When Make-A-Wish® met Josh, they were determined to bring joy to this child who was suffering from Leukemia. With the generous support of the community, Make-A-Wish® created a special day for Josh and gave him his very own horse. Many local businesses donated items and money to help make Josh’s wish come true. Josh is now enjoying spending time with his new companion, “Wish.”
